Our story

Veterans helping veterans, one conversation at a time

Because no brave fights alone.

Why the show exists

Transition does not end the day the uniform comes off. Helping The Brave Podcast was created to give veterans, families and the organizations serving them a place to talk openly about service, transition, health, work and community, without filters and without a sales pitch.

Your host

Ed Parcaut, host of the Helping The Brave Podcast, at the studio microphone

Ed Parcaut is a U.S. Navy veteran and former Hospital Corpsman. He hosts every episode as a recorded interview, giving each guest room to tell the whole story rather than a soundbite.

How guests and organizations take part

Guests include veterans, family members, clinicians, employers, nonprofit leaders and community organizers. If your work touches the veteran community and you want to share it, you can apply to be a guest. Applying is not a guarantee of an interview.

What this show is not

The podcast is not affiliated with, accredited by or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. It does not provide legal representation, medical care or guaranteed benefits outcomes, and it is separate from the Helping The Brave benefits education programs.
