Welcome back to another episode of the Helping the Brave Podcast, we have the pleasure of hosting the incredibly inspiring Jeff Arnold. Jeff and his spouse are passionate volunteers, dedicating their time to various causes and organizations. We'll hear about Jeff's wife's involvement with the Pima County Attorney's office, where she supports victims of domestic violence and contributes to building homes for the homeless. Jeff himself is no stranger to the power of volunteering, describing it as filling a part of the heart that money and possessions simply cannot fulfill. Jeff's enthusiasm for volunteering is contagious, comparing it to a shot of oxyomorphine and encouraging others to make it a part of their lives.

We'll delve into Jeff's personal journey, beginning with his experiences in the military where he had four new company commanders in a short period of time. Fed up with peeling potatoes, Jeff discovered the value of routine and structure provided by the military, which greatly benefited him. Despite his initial doubts, he realized that he wasn't the least intelligent person in the army and thrived in that environment. Jeff firmly believes that volunteering should be a joyful and fulfilling experience, cautioning those who aren't enjoying their current volunteer work to explore other avenues that better align with their passions.

Additionally, we'll explore Jeff's expertise in finance and his experience teaching financial courses for junior enlisted individuals. He shares his interest in creating a game called "Disgruntled Debts" to engage individuals in understanding financial concepts. Jeff's diverse background also includes a passion for theater, drama, and comedy. While initially seeking success in Hollywood, he eventually found his calling in the insurance industry, building his own firm by acquiring 40 different insurance companies over the years.

We'll explore the importance of failure and resilience in Jeff's journey, as well as the valuable lessons he learned from his military service, including the impact of the GI Bill. Furthermore, Jeff dives into his writing journey and highlights his books on insurance, money secrets, and basic economic principles for young children. He reveals the inspiration behind each book and how they address the lack of financial literacy in younger generations.

We'll also touch on Jeff's involvement in soccer and his ownership of different soccer organizations, including FC Tucson and a future women's pro team. He expresses his love for the sport and its ability to bring communities together, highlighting the unique aspects of soccer that foster movement between leagues and performance-based advancements.
